After a couple years of unlearning basic human interaction, I have realized how important relationships are.

Relationships are crucial to the survival of the human race. Not only from a reproductive perspective but from a loving, nurturing and developmental perspective. We are social creatures and require social bonding to live a whole life.

We all need some form of interaction periodically, even if you are an introvert and enjoy time on your own. Our wellbeing is tied up in the quality of our relationships. These do not only include family and close friends but also the wider groups and communities we belong to.

Creating connections and a sense of community among neighbours, colleagues, religious groups, sports teammates and co-hobbyists, all contributes to our greater wellbeing. These connections help us form a sense of belonging with other people, ideally around a shared mission or identity.

So today take notice of the relationships you in. How might you show your appreciation for them.

"It costs $0.00 to tell someone how much they mean to you and put a smile on their face." – Unknown

Hoping you have a lovely day and in case no one has told you this lately, you're amazing!
