“Waking up each morning, how grateful I am to be here.”

“Looking out my window, the colors are enough to be grateful for.”

“Walking hand in hand with my little one, a warm and grateful connection.”

Dr. Alex Korb shares from his book, The Upward Spiral: “Gratitude is a state of mind – in fact, there’s a gratitude circuit in your brain, badly in need of a workout.” Gratitude is an affirmation of goodness and warmth.

With the fast-paced culture and over commercialized world we live in, we often don't recognize how much we have, even the simplest of things…waking up, the colors, a hand.

Gratitude is a recipe for self-contentment and acceptance of life as it flows and becomes stronger. Strengthening this circuit has the ability to elevate your physical and mental health. While it also boosts your creative mind, joy for life and helps you to feel more connected to others.

So how can you practice more gratitude in your life? Keep it simple – write one thing down that you are grateful for. Go inward, finding something positive from your day. This might be linked with a loved one, a colleague, a special pet, nature, or life in general.

Repeating the prompt, “I am grateful for ... ” each day, you will build your gratitude circuit.

Today is the perfect time to reflect and be grateful.

Quote of the week

Have a grateful day and in case no one has told you this lately, you're amazing!
